Family-owned retail giant Spargs Group prides itself on adding value to its customers’ lives. Thanks to their new solar-powered portfolio, they can continue to add value for years to come.
Innovative solar financing
When deciding between financing a solar system or buying it cash, Spargs Group opted for the best of both worlds to maximise its return on investment while powering multiple sites with clean, green power.
Combining financing options for maximum solar savings.

With a zero-capex Power Purchase Agreement and two outright purchases, Spargs Group has spread the cost-saving benefit of owning and financing solar systems across three of their sites.

Beacon Bay consists of an 814 kWp system that was bought through a cash purchase. This offers an excellent return on investment as the ownership of the system lies with Spargs Group.

Queenstown comes in at around 238 kWp and was financed through a 20-year Power Purchase Agreement. The PPA requires no upfront investment and they pay only for the solar power they consume when using the system.

Kokstad might be the smaller of the three sites but it still comes in at 203 kWp of cleaner, cheaper green energy to power this site. Spargs Group opted for another cash purchase in this instance.
Replacing utility power with clean, affordable solar during the day.
